Centre for Fenland Studies

In June 2024 Spalding Gentlemen’s Society in conjunction with Ayscoughfee Hall Museum will be opening a research hub in the Hall – the Centre for Fenland Studies. It will contain a local history book collection, a map collection and other material on the heritage of the Fenlands. It will provide a base for local researchers and academics.

One of the first projects that will run out of the Centre will be the production of two ‘short’ Victoria County History volumes providing a definitive history of the town of Spalding.
