A two-thousand-year-old artifact bearing a fingerprint was uncovered in Wisbech St Mary, the March Society heard at a recent meeting.

Discovered during an archaeological dig led by Bob Smith and the Fenland Archaeology Society (FenArch), the piece of pottery offers a personal connection to the past, as the ancient fingerprint was impressed into the clay before it was fired.
