We have recently launched the VCH Spalding Project. The aim will be to produce a definitive history of the town in two volumes……
Spalding to 1540 (pre-dissolution of the Priory)
Spalding after 1540 (early modern and modern Spalding)
Although supported by academics the books will be researched and written by local people. It will be run from the newly opened Centre for Fenland Studies at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum in Spalding.
