The project to write a definitive history of Spalding is growing in strength. We now have some 18 researchers preparing material for the volume. The group operates out of the Centre for Fenland Studies at Ayscoughfee Hall. It is supported and financed with grants from Lincoln Records Society and the Institute of Historical Research as well as personal donations.
Shortly we are hoping to appoint an Editor/Coordinator to help manage the project and to help pull together the book – more detail to follow.
The next workshop on ‘Church and Religion’ will take place on Saturday 21st March 2026. It will be open to researchers, local historians and the public – again details to follow.
