One of history’s greatest rogues is finally getting his tale told.
This is the story of Jonathan Wild, an eighteenth century thief-taker who had a double life as London’s most prolific criminal. This brand new, specially commissioned play brings the tale of Jonathan Wild to life with a variety of storytelling techniques. As with many miscreants, Wild met with his grisly end at the hands of the law, but he would have wanted to go out with a bang, so in that spirit, You Are Invited To An Execution…
Contains staged violence, capital punishment and mature themes. Suitable for ages 12+
This project is part of the Future of the Past initiative led by SoundLincs and is a collaboration between Spalding Gentlemen’s Society, the South Holland Centre and Act II Theatre Company.
