The Society’s Original Collection 1710 to 1814

^{It is the oldest intact collection in the country, and has recently been named a ‘Designated Collection of National Significance’ by Arts Council England. This lecture explores how the collection came into being. It will look at some of the people, animals and objects from around the world.}
