Sedgeford Dig – Open to the Public

This year excavations begin on Sunday, 6 July and finish on Friday 1 August. The site is open to the public from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm, Sunday to Friday each week and guided tours of the excavations are available. On Sunday 20 July they will hold a Festival of Archaeology so there will be no site tours but a lot of other activities, especially for children. Entry is free…but donations are happily accepted.

The excavation site is located in the village of Sedgeford, about two miles from Heacham. The site address is: Off Snettisham Road, Sedgeford, Norfolk. Of course, there is much more information on their web site: sharp.org.uk”
