Peterborough Museum – Vox Pop: Voices from Ancient Cities
The next talk in Peterborough Museum’s archaeology and graffiti series is
‘Vox Pop: Voices from Ancient Cities’, by Dr Olivia Elder, of Merton College, University of Oxford.
Focusing on the cities of Rome, Pompeii and Herculaneum, it will show how ancient graffiti can sometimes be eerily similar to modern graffiti, and at other times strikingly different, and what this ancient graffiti tells us about life, love and leisure in ancient cities.
