CBA East – Vindolanda Uncovered

‘Vindolanda uncovered – the early forts and foundation of a frontier and its changing people’ by Dr Andrew Birley (Director of Excavations, Vindolanda Trust)

Recent results of the excavations at the site of Vindolanda have continued to produce a wonderful array of artefacts, evidence and buildings from the earliest occupation by Roman soldiers and their support communities. This talk draws together some of the finest examples and discoveries from the recent excavations and contextualises them to show just what we do and don’t know about the daily lives of the early Roman invaders. Rampton Village Hall, Cambridge, CB24 8QA. Onsite parking.
